I can remember my college bff Billy talking about how The Music Man was The Perfect Musical. Scott mentioned his love of The Music Man on his radio show (woo kdhx, I am loving your station plenty this week) yesterday.

So get this:

I know (of) someone (a St. Louisan) whose Great Uncle was reportedly The Music Man. Yeah, like, THE Music Man Music Man. How cool is that!?

“My great uncle, Paul Franzenburg, former treasurer for the State of Iowa, spent part of his career as a traveling salesman and was friends with Meredith Willson. There’s a credible rumor that he was the Music Man.”

deconstruct that!

:)

The midwest is the coolest.

And speaking of The Music Man, how about a shameless plug for my book “Deconstructing Harold Hill” — available on Amazon.com and at fine book stores everywhere… :) Or to read about ALL my books, go to http://www.newlinetheatre.com/book.html

I sometimes wonder if my BFF Billy was reading your book at the time he was suddenly inspired to tell me that The Music Man was the perfect musical that cloudy day in Philadelphia. I’ll have to remember to remember to ask him.

Hey! I’m dumb—you commented on my blog about this, and I accidentally clicked “do not approve.” Would you please post it again??

Haha, it was probably a trackback showing my post linking to yours. way to go, man, deleting my trackback! though I gotta admit, I have been similarly dumb many times, so i’ll be sure to note it over at your place.

ps OMG your great uncle was Harold Hill
